In Depth
Nabiximols (brand name Sativex) is manufactured by GW Pharmaceuticals. Each actuation delivers 2.7mg THC and 2.5mg CBD. It is approved in Canada, UK, and EU for MS-related spasticity and neuropathic pain. It has not received FDA approval in the US. The 1:1 THC:CBD ratio is thought to provide therapeutic benefit while CBD moderates THC's psychoactive effects. Nabiximols is the most studied whole-plant cannabinoid medicine.
