What is the correct dose of CBD for most conditions?

Research-Based Answer

There is no single "correct" CBD dose — effective doses vary dramatically by condition, individual pharmacokinetics, and route of administration. The only FDA-approved CBD (Epidiolex) is dosed at 5–20mg/kg/day for epilepsy, translating to 350–1,400mg/day for a 70kg adult. For anxiety, RCTs have used single doses of 300–600mg. For sleep, doses of 25–175mg have been studied. Most commercial CBD products contain 10–50mg per serving — substantially below doses showing efficacy in clinical trials. Oral bioavailability of CBD is only 6–19%, meaning much of an oral dose is lost to first-pass metabolism. Sublingual administration improves bioavailability modestly. The gap between commercial product doses and clinically effective doses is one of the most important and underreported issues in CBD research.
